Residents at the Royal Star & Garter

Fundraising

Fundraising ActivitiesIf you’re the kind of person who likes to get ‘stuck in’, a fundraising event may be the perfect way to support the Charity! Many people, including those currently serving in the Armed Forces, organise their own fundraising event or take part in a sponsored activity on behalf of The Royal Star & Garter Homes. Many thousands of pounds have been raised for our disabled ex-Service residents by friends and supporters who have run marathons, jogged across the country, shaved their hair off or simply held a coffee morning!

If you have a great idea for an event you’d like to organise, we’d be delighted to hear from you. We can provide you with sponsorship forms and leaflets about the Charity to help you gain support, as well as guidance on your event.

Contact Susan Harley on 020 8439 8118 or email sue.harley@starandgarter.org to discuss your fundraising idea so that you can get started!

Here's one example of the herculean efforts to which our supporters go to raise money for us:

Afritrex

We are one of three charities for whom Ben Southall and Owen Thompson Dredge are raising money throughout 2008 by running five marathons and climbing five of the highest peaks in Africa as well as circumnavigating the entire continent.  They depart immediately after Christmas and we'll be keeping a close watch on their progress via their website www.afritrex.com.  Many thanks Ben and Owen and every good wish from the residents and staff.
