10km Race, Olympics 2012 Course
Presented by London Marathon, the BUPA London 10,000 starts and finishes in St James's Park next to Buckingham Palace covering a total distance of 10km. The course is likely to be used for the 2012 Olympic Marathons.
Starting out at Birdcage Walk, the race follows an anti-clockwise route around the City of Westminster and the City of London, taking in Parliament Square, Blackfriars, Fenchurch Street, Leadenhall Market, Cornhill, Puddle Dock, Embankment, Whitehall and finally to The Mall via Trafalgar Square.
Among the many Landmarks along the way are Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, the London Eye, Tate Modern, Millennium Bridge, Monument, Bank of England, Mansion House, St Paul's Cathedral, Nelson's Column and Admiralty Arch.
