Residents
have their own individual rooms and are encouraged to bring some personal
effects such as photographs and pictures, or even small items of furniture
where these can be safely accommodated. There are small lounges and
seating areas on each floor for those who prefer a more cosy environment
as well as larger areas for group events and socialising.
Our Richmond home has a wonderful Activities & Welfare Department which offers a full and varied activities programme to choose from. This includes concerts and film shows, a bridge club, choir and music club as well as extensive facilities offering arts and crafts, horticulture, computers, quizzes, indoor bowls and much more. Regular shopping trips, outings, visits to the theatre and sporting events are all offered, with residents’ ideas and suggestions encouraged. These activities will, of course, also be available at our Solihull and other new homes.
As Richmond Home resident Stephanie Kerans explains:
“I came here for respite care first of all and then
decided to stay. I have settled in well and am really happy here, the
food is good and the outings and internal entertainment are excellent.
My daughter says I do far more now than I ever did before and there
are no
restrictions so I can do my own thing really!”
The combination of facilities and exceptional care are designed to
ensure that all residents are entertained, stimulated and that quality
of life is improved, whatever their tastes.
