This hard-back, full colour book entitled ‘The Home on the Hill’ will be sold to raise funds for the Charity and play a vital part in celebrating the rich heritage of the Charity during its 90th year. Published in November, a priority copy can be reserved in advance at the fantastic special offer pre-publication price of just £30.
“This wonderful book will include many fascinating and historical photographs, etchings and pictures from the Home’s extensivearchives… many of which have never been shown before,” explains Patsy Willis, Director of Fundraising & PR at the Home. “The book will also draw on archive material written by residents and staff themselves and it is their testimony that provides a captivating insight into life at the Home over the past 90 years.”
To support the disabled ex-Service men and women at The Royal Star & Garter Home, a copy of this beautiful celebratory book can be ordered by calling 020 8439 8168.
The Royal Star & Garter Home, an independent registered charity based in Richmond, has been caring for disabled ex-Service personnel since 1916. The Charity offers the best in nursing and residential care plus a range of therapies. There are also a wide variety of leisure activities available for our residents to enjoy, both inside and outside the Home. In future years, The Royal Star & Garter Charity intends to build new homes, in the Richmond area and elsewhere, in which to provide specialist care for the elderly disabled, and for those with dementia for whom there is very little provision at present.
