THE BRITISH ARMY PLAY IN CHARITY POLO MATCH THIS BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY AT HAM
With less than one week left until Bank Holiday Monday 29th May, the Hackett Army Polo Team is preparing for the Polo Match against Ham Polo Select Team. The event is one of The Royal Star & Garter Home’s special 90th Anniversary celebrations taking place this year.
Special Gold Lunch Tickets are still available at £65. Gold ticket holders receive a special priority parking pass near the clubhouse and are welcomed to a drinks reception upon arrival followed by a buffet lunch in the beautiful Pavilion overlooking the grounds. Gold ticket guests will have the option to take part in the Horseshow draw where there will be a selection of unique prizes to win.
Ground tickets are available at just £15 which includes parking and a programme. Speciality hampers are available at an extra charge per person but these are well worth it for the sumptuous ingredients all individually wrapped with paper plates and cutlery provided. Ground ticket will also be available on the gate (hampers must be ordered in advance).
The gates open at 11.45am, the Military Band Display takes place at 12.30pm and the Horse Rangers Display begins at 1.30pm followed by the Military Band Finale. The Polo Match will then commence. Falklands veteran and Vice President of the Charity Simon Weston OBE, will then present the grand Royal Star& Garter Polo Challenge Cup to the winners.
The Polo Match looks set to be a great family day out – come and join us! Ham Polo Club is situated off Petersham Road, Ham, Richmond TW10 7AH.
Thanks go to all those involved and to Christina Jackson of Action International for sponsoring the players’ prizes.
The Royal Star & Garter Home, an independent registered charity based in Richmond, has been caring for disabled ex-Service personnel since 1916. The Charity offers the best in nursing and residential care plus a range of therapies. There are also a wide variety of leisure activities available for our residents to enjoy, both inside and outside the Home. In future years, The Royal Star & Garter Charity intends to build new homes, in the Richmond area and elsewhere, in which to provide specialist care for the elderly disabled, and for those with dementia for whom there is very little provision at present.
