THE ROYAL STAR & GARTER HOME FOR DISABLED EX-SERVICE
MEN AND WOMEN
APPOINTS FUNDRAISING CO-ORDINATOR FOR KENT.
The Royal Star & Garter Charity for disabled ex-Service men and women based in Richmond, Surrey, has recently appointed Jeremy Thompson as Regional Fundraising Co-ordinator for Kent.
Mr Thompson has lived in Paddock Wood for nearly 18 years and has worked for HSBC plc for the last 33 years in Sussex, Surrey, Kent and London. He was most recently Branch Manager at HSBC Sevenoaks.
Jeremy has been actively involved in his community and is a Past President of the Rotary Club of Brixton and is a member of the Tunbridge Wells Golf Club. He is married to Susan and they have two grown-up children, Sarah and Adam. They are all keen to support him in his new role with The Royal Star & Garter Charity.
Jeremy’s immediate plan is to spread the word in Kent about the Charity’s work caring for disabled ex-Service people, and its future plans to build new Royal Star & Garter Homes in different parts of the country.
“I am looking forward to working for this prestigious Charity at this exciting time in its history. The Charity already has support in Kent where it has previously held events at the Royal Engineers Brompton Barracks and has attended Chatham Navy Days and the Air Show at Biggin Hill.”

The Royal Star & Garter Home, an independent registered charity based in Richmond, has been caring for disabled ex-Service personnel since 1916. The Charity offers the best in nursing and residential care plus a range of therapies. There are also a wide variety of leisure activities available for our residents to enjoy, both inside and outside the Home. In future years, The Royal Star & Garter Charity intends to build new homes, in the Richmond area and elsewhere, in which to provide specialist care for the elderly disabled, and for those with dementia for whom there is very little provision at present.
