The Royal Star & Garter Homes have strong military links and traditions that make them a special place to live where comradeship, among the residents, staff, volunteers and others who support them, is uppermost. We believe in providing the highest possible level of care, tailored to each individual’s needs and wishes, to ensure that all our residents are able to lead as independent a life as possible.

of Royal Star & Garter Homes
The Royal Star & Garter Charity currently has a facility in Richmond, Surrey that was established in 1916. In the 21st century, the needs of residents have changed and the Charity is in the process of implementing plans to respond to that change. We are therefore due to move out of the current building in 2010 to a new purpose built, state-of-the-art home in South West London. The Charity is also establishing Royal Star & Garter Homes in different parts of the country where there is an identified need for care provision, so that as many ex-Service men and women as possible can benefit from the Charity’s special brand of care in a wider choice of locations. As a result, the Charity is currently in the process of building a second home in Solihull, West Midlands, which opens in summer 2008. Each of the new homes will also incorporate a specially designed and staffed unit to accommodate people with dementia, an area of urgent need.
We are currently accepting applications for both our Richmond, Surrey, and Solihull, West Midlands, Homes but please note that at our Richmond Home we are unable to offer care for residents with dementia. This is available at the Solihull Home. For further information please contact Susan Kay on 020 8439 8021 or e-mail susan.kay@starandgarter.org
