Our mission is to provide the best possible care for our residents to enable them to have as fulfilling and dignified a life as possible. To achieve this we need to recruit talented, professional and caring people who would like the work they do to make a difference.
Our Charity is currently in an exciting phase of development; relocating our current home within the South West London area and opening a new home in Solihull in the West Midlands. Our new homes will be purpose-built and offer modern living accommodation and facilities for our residents and an excellent working environment for staff.
Recruitment for the Solihull home will commence during the summer of 2008 and further information and details of vacant positions can be found under Current Vacancies. Our present home is located overlooking the River Thames in Richmond, Surrey and it is planned that we will relocate in 2010.
What makes The Royal Star & Garter such an interesting place to work is the people; we have a diverse workforce with opportunities for qualified and unqualified staff. Each Home will be staffed to support 60 Residents, 15 of which will be supported in our Dementia Care Unit. Up to date training for dementia care will be high on our training programme.

Our team is made up of clinical and non clinical staff and we have people working either as part of the Home staff team or in support of the Head Office functions:
Home Team: Registered Nurses, Health Care Assistants, Physiotherapists, Activities & Welfare staff, Domestic Assistants, Porter/Cleaners, Chef and Catering Assistants, Driver/ Maintenance staff.
Head Office Staff Team: Nursing Management, Fundraising & PR, Events, Finance, HR staff, and the Executive Team.
Opportunities also exist for volunteers. We are committed to investing in the future workforce and as well as offering an appropriate training and development programme for our staff teams, we offer a limited number of student work experience placements through local schools and colleges for GCSE, physiotherapy and nurse students.
